RUN
FOR YOUR PINT - REAL BEER WEEK
30TH SEPTEMBER - 6TH OCTOBER
2002
To
mark the start of National Real
Beer Week, London's leading
brewers, Fuller's and Young's
went head to head in a unique
pub-crawl race.
The
race started from Fuller's Brewery,
Chiswick, on Friday, 27th September
at 1pm and finished at Young's
Brewery in Wandsworth, with
giant human pints from both
breweries visiting 12 Fuller's
and Young's pubs along the route.
The
pints were followed by an entourage,
who distributed leaflets along
the route, offering a free half
pint of London Pride or Young's
Bitter at participating pubs
(listed below).
Londoners
along the route joined in the
fun and celebrations.

Real
Beer Week runs from the 30th
September to the 6th October
and is a national activity,
which aims to promote and celebrate
'Real Beer' in the hope of introducing
many new customers to the joys
of the great British pint.
Thirty-three
members of the Independent Family
Brewers of Britain (IFBB) are
involved in Real Beer Week and
Fuller's and Young's are heralding
the London regional activity.
John
Roberts, Beer and Brands Director
for Fuller's comments, "It's
always been rumoured that there
has been a healthy rivalry between
ourselves and Young's and this
event shows that we can work
together for a common goal."
Fullers
were also offering free samples
of London Pride Organic Honey
Due on the 1st and 2nd October
2002 at key London railway stations.
