Councillor to Investigate Parking Management

Ealing Borough's CPZ Admin needs to improve says Malcolm

A local councillor is to launch his own investigation in to the administration of parking in the borough of Ealing after receiving a flood of complaints from residents.

Gary Malcolm, Lib Dem Transport spokesperson, has been concerned that there have been too many problems with Ealing Council’s Control Parking Zones (CPZ) in Southfield as well as other parts of the borough. He wants to get feedback from residents in the area so that they can be relayed to Ealing Council who he hopes will make the improvements that are needed, given the large number of problems that residents of Southfield have suffered. Southfield ward covers the Bedford Park and Acton Green areas of the borough but he is also eager to hear from residents outside this ward.

Residents can contact Gary letting him know of your experiences and suggestions you have to improve matters via email at gary.malcolm@ealing.gov.uk or by writing to him at Cllr Gary Malcolm, Members’ Room, Ealing Town Hall, New Broadway, Uxbridge Road, Ealing, W5 2BY.

He said: “People are annoyed that Ealing Council takes tax-payers’ money and gives them a poor service. So many times I hear that they were given a ticket when they have a permit or when they contact the council they cannot get through because it is too busy.”
