Car Park Charging To Start at Gunnersbury Park 'Soon'
Management has yet to confirm what prices and limits will be

The management of Gunnersbury Park has issued a warning that the long delayed introduction of charging in the car park is coming ‘soon.’
It has said further details will be issued shortly and we have been asked to clarify that our earlier report which suggested that the original plan of charging £1 per hour for a minimum stay of four hours was incorrect.
A spokesperson for Gunnersbury Park said that it will be announcing the new pricing and maximum stay length in the coming weeks.
Technical issues and problems with getting planning permission for signage have held up charging which was originally supposed to be in place last September.
It is understood that vehicles will be charged by the hour, and visitors can pay either by an app or the card payment machines. There will be no option to pay by cash. Blue badge holders will not be charged and can park in the disabled car park by the museum and the main car park with no time limit on their stay.
Charges will apply at all times and will be enforced by ANPR cameras in the main car park.
No management fee is being paid to the parking contractor Gemini Park Solutions which will generate all its income from fines. Gemini Park Solutions is a member of the British Parking Association and runs a number of other ANPR parking facilities across the country.
All the revenues from parking charges other than fines are going towards park maintenance.
It is thought that the registration of cars entering via the Popes Lane entrance will be recorded and then again on exit and, if the times do not match what has been paid for through a phone app or a Pay and Display machine, a fine will be issued.
