Woman Dies in Stamford Brook Flat Fire


20 firefighters and 4 engines bring blaze under control

A elderly woman has died following a fire in a house converted into flats near Stamford Brook this Monday morning (11th June).

Four fire engines and around twenty firefighters attended the fire. The fire severely damaged a bedroom in the first floor flat.

The Brigade was called at 7.15am and the fire was under control by 8.28am.

Fire crews from Hammersmith, Chiswick and Acton fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation but it is not believed to be suspicious.
