Homophobic Attack On Barnes Common


Man attacked and robbed by two youths

Detectives in Richmond are investigating an allegation of grievous bodily harm after a 40-year-old man was assaulted by two males on Barnes Common at approximately 5.30pm on Sunday, 6 September 2015.

The victim sustained facial injuries including a broken eye socket which requires surgery and he has also a broken first metacarpal in his left hand.



His iphone 6 was also stolen. The victim believes that the attack was homophobic as anti gay slurs where shouted at him. 

The two male suspects ran off in the direction of Barnes Common Tennis Courts.
