PC to appear in court for possessing obscene images

An Ealing-based Police Constable has been suspended after being charged with possession of extreme pornographic images.

PC Daniel Rous,(33) was charged yesterday (Nov 7) and bailed to attend Westminster Magistrates Court on November 28th next.

The police said that following an investigation by the MPS Directorate of Professional Standards, PC Daniel Rous, 33, based at Ealing Borough, was charged on 7 November as follows:

"Between 01/06/2012 and 01/02/2013 within the jurisdiction of the CCC, possessed extreme pornographic images which were grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of an obscene character. Contrary to Sec 63(1), (7)(D) and 67(3) of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008.

"PC Rous is suspended and has been bailed to attend City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on 28 November 2013."
