Safer Neighbourhood Team shuts down illegal radio stations
If you have been experiencing radio interference of late, then peace is here at last.
Local residents were becoming increasing annoyed at the interruptions they were experiencing on their radios.
However, Police officers from Southfield Ward (Ealing Borough) and officers from the Office For Communication located the pirate radio station, Ice Cold FM, and have shut it down.
One person was arrested and thousands of pounds worth of equipment and merchandise was seized.
The closure of Ice Cold FM is another success just weeks after the same team closed down Podgy FM when, three people arrested and thousands of pounds worth of equipment was seized.
These two stations had disrupted lawful radio broadcasts for some time.
