Police officer arrested on suspicion of corruption


Two local people remain in custody following dawn arrests

Detectives from the Met's Anti Corruption Command have arrested two local people on suspicion of corruption offences.

The arrests were made at 07:00 on Wednesday 19th April 2006 at two residential addresses in Richmond and Isleworth.

One of the people arrested is a 54 year old Police Constable who is based in the Borough of Hounslow.  He was arrested at his home address in Richmond.

The second person arrested was a 26 year old woman who was arrested at her home address is Isleworth.

The arrests are the culmination of an intelligence-led proactive operation conducted by the Anti Corruption Command.

The arrest phase included the execution of three search warrants at residential premises at Richmond and Isleworth and at a business premises in Feltham.

The two arrestees remain in custody at Central London police stations.
