Man Charged with vandalising Speed Cameras

Chiswick man accused of damaging cameras on A40 and A406

A man is appearing in Ealing Magistrate Courts today charged with two counts of damaging speed cameras.

Christopher Crowley, aged 54, of Chiswick is accused of causing criminal damage to GATSO cameras belonging to Transport for London. He allegedly sabotaged the camera at the corner of the A406 and Greystoke Gardens in Acton and another on the A40 at the junction with Lynwood Road in Ealing last Saturday.

He was found in possession of screw-drivers, pliers, fire-lighters, cigarette lighter which it is alleged were being carried for the purpose of criminal damage.
