Good weather blamed for spate of al fresco thefts

Police urge us to take extra care in the sunshine

Whilst the recent spell of sunshine has brought flourishing trade to the pavement cafes and restaurants in Chiswick, it has also provided thieves with a plenteous provision of handbags and mobile phones to pinch.

After numerous reports of stolen possessions from outside various Chiswick High Road establishments, Police are urging locals to keep their belongings safely out of sight.

And it’s not just handbags that have been disappearing, two plant pots were reported stolen from outside a home in Brentford on Friday 17th June. The resident of Hornbeam Crescent reported the theft but unfortunately did not see anything.
