SERIOUS ASSAULT IN BRENTFORD

Chiswick man left clutching intestines after knife attack

Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a serious assault in Brentford on Sunday 13th October. Reportedly the attack left the man clutching his intestines after a 42 year old man from Chiswick was stabbed in an apparently unprovoked assault. The victim originally thought he had been punched until he noticed the gaping wound. He managed to phone the emergency services for assistance before collapsing outside the Watermans Arts Centre. He is currently in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

At this stage it appears that the 40 year old victim was approached in the street by a man. He was on his way home after a night out with friends.

The suspect spoke to and then stabbed the victim in the chest. The suspect then ran off towards the Haversfield Estate, Brentford.

The motive for the attack is unclear at this stage. Nothing has been reported stolen although the victim was wearing jewelry.

The suspect is described as being light skinned black or Asian man in his late 20s. He was 5'11 tall with close-cropped hair. He wore an anorak and baggy tracksuit bottoms.

Anyone with information should contact DC Paul Doorbar from Hounslow CID on 020 8247 6268; alternatively Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

There have been no arrests at this stage.
