New leadership team in place


Council cabinet members appointed

Ealing's new leadership team is now in place following the Annual Meeting of the Council this week.

At the meeting, held on 23 May, the council leader, cabinet, mayor and chairmen of the area and regulatory committees were all officially appointed.

The cabinet members and their portfolios are:

•  Leader of the council - Cllr Jason Stacey
•  Children's services and deputy council leader - Cllr Ian Gibb
•  Adult services and housing - Cllr Ian Green
•  Environment and transport - Cllr Will Brooks
•  Finance and performance - Cllr David Scott
•  Health and community well-being - Cllr Nigel Sumner
•  Regeneration and economic development - Cllr Brian Castle
•  Safer communities - Cllr Sue Emment
•  Chief Whip (ex-officio) - Cllr Barbara Yerolemou

The deputy portfolio holders are:

•  Children's services - Cllr Joanna Dabrowska
•  Adult services and housing - Cllr Mark Reen
•  Environment and transport - Cllr Vlod Barchuk
•  Finance and performance - Cllr Phil Taylor
•  Health and community well-being - Cllr Seema Kumar
•  Regeneration and economic development - Cllr Peter Allott
•  Safer communities - Cllr Dawn Larmouth

The mayor is Cllr Diana Pagan and Cllr Hazel Ware her deputy.

Cllr Tony Young is chairman of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee.

The quasi-judicial appointments are as follows:

•  Chairman of licensing - Cllr Ian Potts
•  Chairman of planning - Cllr John Popham
•  Vice chairman of planning - Cllr Marie Christine Randall
•  Chairman of regulatory panel - Cllr Ian Potts

The chairmen of the area committees are as follows:

•  Acton - Cllr Jim Randall
•  Ealing - Cllr David Millican
•  Greenford - Cllr Shahbaz Ahmed
•  Hanwell - Cllr Jonathan Oxley
