Ant McPartlin Interviewed By Police After Brentford Match

Refuses to switch allegiance to team with ground closest to his home

Chiswick based TV presenter Ant McPartlin gave an impromptu interview to the police after a recent fixture at Griffin Park.

He had just watched his team, Newcastle United beat Brentford 2-1, when Chief Inspector Wayne Matthews of Hounslow Police caught up with him.

Ant admitted that his side were a bit fortunate to get the three points which were gained through a late goal by Darryl Murphy. The win put the favourites to win the Championship back on top of the league and he said he was delighted with the result.

He told Chief Inspector Matthews that it was not his first time at Griffin Park which is the closest ground to his home. Although he it was the first time as a spectator he had actually played on the pitch at an end of season event.

Despite some pressure from the police he refused to change his allegiance to Brentford and said that there would be no question of who he would be supporting the next time the two sides played at Griffin Park.
