Extra matinees added to sell-out season
Due to the overwhelming demand for tickets to the Bush Theatre's sell-out Schools Season, it has added mid-week matinees to allow more people to see the show before the Season ends.
The Knowledge will play this Thursday Feb 10, and Little Platoons on Thursday February 17, with performances beginning at 2.30pm.
To book tickets, you are advised to visit the Bush Theatre's website as soon as possible or call the Box Office on 020 8743 5050.
Schools Season offers two plays, featuring Downton Abbey star Joanne Froggatt, exploring the education system in Britain.
The first is The Knowledge by John Donnelly which examines what happens when a young teacher goes off the rails in a failing school.
The second play, Little Platoons by Steve Waters, is a darkly comic look at the issue of free schools - a subect which is particularly topical with the West London Free School looking 99% certain to move into our borough this year.
Both plays run until February 19 and and a response to Little Platoons will be performed after the evening shows on February 10, 11 and 12. The response has been produced in association with Toby Young, who is at the head of the group behind the West London Free School.
The Response is one of a series of post-show education events which includes discussions on whether there is a relationship between teachers and playwrights on January 25 and the effects of exclusion on January 31.
