UKIP Candidate For Brentford Is From Chiswick

George Radulski is a retired accountant from Bedford Park

A retired accountant from Bedford Park is to try to win the Brentford by-election for UKIP. George Radulski is a first-time candidate for the seat vacated by newly-elected MP Ruth Cadbury. The by-election will be held on July 9th.

Mr. Radulski (67) joined the party a year-and-a-half ago.

He said he joined UKIP mainly because he believed the UK should govern itself , without interference from the EU and that immigration should be controlled and the laws reformed. He also wants to stop Corporate tax-dodging, abolish inheritance tax and increase the numbers of nurses and GPs. He also wants more help for local business as he believes high rates are putting them out of business.

If elected for the Brentford ward he will campaign against a new school getting a 125 year lease in Brent Lea recreation ground, in favour of one on more suitable land instead of a public park. He also wants the new homes built around Watermans to be made available to local residents in Brentford.

Mr. Radulski is of Polish background but was born in Scotland and has spent time living in Dubai and Switzerland. As a child, he lived in Munich where his parents worked for Radio Free Europe, broadcasting across the Iron Curtain to counteract Communist propaganda.

Other candidates in the July election include Patrick Barr (Conservatives), who previously stood for election in the Southfield ward area, Liberal Democrat Joe Bourke, (a recent general election candidate for Brentford & Isleworth), Labour's candidate is Guy Lambert and the Green Party candidate is Diane Scott.
