Take home polyanthus to add to your garden
We have seen some beautiful flower beds in Boston Manor Park over the past few months but it is time to lift them before the new plants arrive which will have an Olympic theme.
Always keen to involve the community and also to recycle, the Friends of Boston Manor invite you to come down to Boston Manor Park from 10 a.m. on Sunday 13th or Monday 14th May with your plastic bags and help yourself to bedding plants (mainly polyanthus) which you will be able to grow on for next year.
Linda Massey (Friends of Boston Manor) says "we first trialed this last year and found it to be very successful. The thought of the flowers going to a good home is always pleasing and of course we will be on hand in the pavilion on both days if anyone wishes to make any donations or buy a cupper and a homemade cake!"
