Success For Garden Arts At Show

Wins awards at Ealing In Bloom

Two gardens designed by local garden designer, Denise Cadwallader, won recognition at this year’s Ealing in Bloom Awards at the Ealing Town Hall last week.

First prize was awarded to a client in Kent Gardens in the categories ‘Best Improved Garden’ and ‘Best Large Garden’. This stunning garden also received the ‘Judges Special Award’. Another garden in Carlton Road received second prize in the same categories.

Denise said; “I designed the gardens, but both clients have cared for and nurtured the planting. Their hard work and boundless energy ensured that the spaces looked great on judging day. I am delighted that they have been rewarded in this way”.

Winners of the 18 categories at Ealing in Bloom were presented with an award and prize money by Ealing mayor Khamaljit Dhindsa.

The judge’s special award went to Meadow House Hospice in the grounds of Ealing Hospital, which also picked up the prize for best commercial premises.

Denise founded Garden Arts in 1997 and since then she has designed gardens in the UK and France.

Her clients have won medals at The London Garden Awards and her designs feature in the Garden Style Guides. She also lectures in garden design at Capel Manor Horticultural College and writes for various gardening journals.

Denise is a Registered Member of the Society of Garden Designers, the only professional body in the UK dedicated solely to garden design. See more about Garden Arts at their website here
