New Homes in Television Centre Now On Sale

Priced from £700,000 to over £5 million for penthouses

New homes within Television Centre in Wood Lane are now on sale, with prices ranging from £700,000 for a one bedroom apartment to upwards of £5 million for a penthouse.

To see what you can get for the money, two show flats and a sales and marketing suite are open to the public and to potential buyers in a brand new Pavilion building on Wood Lane at the iconic former home of the BBC.

After 53 years as the home of British television, the site is being transformed into a mixed use development, with a total of 950 new homes, office space for the creative industries, an independent cinema, restaurants and cafes and three state-of-the-art studios for the BBC.

Soho House will open a new members club at the centre called White City House by the end of 2017, including a restaurant and roof-top pool and a 47-room hotel in the historic Helios building.

Developer Stanhope says residents will enjoy a 24-hour concierge and access to a large Cowshed Active fitness club, residential lounge and a rooftop restaurant.

Nick Jones, Chief Executive of Soho House, says: " West London has always been a spiritual home for Soho House, with Electric House, Notting Hill opening in 2002 and High Road House, Chiswick in 2005. The area has a rich and varied tradition of creative talent and the development of Television Centre will provide a worthy addition to the area and a new home from home for member’s to work and relax in.

" We always look for buildings that tell a story — they become the creative starting point for each new House. The former BBC Television Centre has been at the centre of British culture for over five decades. White City House will have three floors of club space, including a rooftop with a pool. There will be a gym, four screen Electric Cinema, Allis Bar, Cecconi's, Cowshed and 47 bedrooms."

Stanhope says the design of Television Centre, by architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, offers residents the opportunity to live in one of London’s most recognisable buildings, with many Grade II-listed features being retained.

There are newly designed outdoor spaces by award-winning landscape architecture firm Gillespies, connecting Wood Lane with Hammersmith Park through the iconic Helios courtyard and landscaped Television Centre forecourt.

Paul Monaghan, Director of Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, says: " It’s an honour and a privilege to have worked on the architectural vision for this prestigious project and to now be taking forward proposals for the interiors. Television Centre is a building that everyone will have special memories of and we’re aware of the great responsibility that gives us as designers. The project is an opportunity to reinvent a unique place, but will also be an important part of the wider regeneration of this part of west London.

Television Centre is at the heart of an £8 billion 15-year regeneration of the wider White City area, which will form a new hub of activity, creativity and academia in west London. The neighbourhood will see the arrival of new restaurants, 2,500 new homes, more than two million square feet of office space and 20,000 new jobs. A new John Lewis will open by Christmas 2017 in an expanded Westfield which will boast more than 420 stores, and there will be 30 acres of public open space.

The Pavilion at Television Centre, located opposite Wood Lane station is open to the public seven days a week.

Prices of the 250 apartments for sale start from £700,000 for a one bedroom apartment, from £950,000 for two bedrooms and from £1.4m for a three bedroom apartment. Four individually designed penthouses on the top floor of the Helios and the Crescent are priced from £5million.
