Chiswick Baroque Concert Of Seasonal Music


A capella music from the 11th and 12th centuries

Chiswick Baroque sings a medley of seasonal Advent and Christmas music on Sun, 8 December, 16:00 – 17:00 at
The Church of The Holy Innocents, Paddenswick Rd, Hammersmith, W6 0UB.

Seasonal concert of Advent a cappella music from the 11th – 21st centuries will include traditional and modern Advent carols, both a familiar and new repertoire including pieces by Dering, Hassler, Eccard and Schutz.

There is also a chance to hear again the Lullaby from Celia’s recent commission “Songs to the Black Madonna”.

In support of West London Action for Children. Tickets are £12 (£10 concessions).

Chiswick Baroque is a 5 voice a cappella singing group directed by composer Celia Harper (pictured above). Based in Chiswick, CB performs vocal music from 11th – 21st centuries with a particular interest in 17th century and tonal modern compositions, spirituals and traditional music.
