Age Concern is seeking good companions in our community
Age Concern is actively looking for people living in Hammersmith and Fulham who can provide companionship
to and older person who is housebound or socially isolated.
Volunteers who have a few hours to spare could brighten up an older person's day by accompanying them on a walk to the shops, helping them with practical tasks or maybe just popping in for a cup of tea and a chat.
If you think you can help, call Age Concern in Greyhound Road on 0207 386 9085 or visit the website.
Age Concern, at 105 Greyhound Road has a full programme of activities including Keep Fit, yoga, a chess club, art and crafts, a cyber cafe and coffee mornings on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
On Tuesdays, local people are invited to come along, have lunch and watch a movie at Age Concern from midday until 2pm, with home cooked food, such as lasagne, quiches, savouries, salads and jacket potatoes for just £3.
Dine in style overlooking the lovely 80 foot garden and then sit back and enjoy the film! All are welcome.
