Nursery takes children from two years of age to pre-school
After many years of delivering outstanding education to children in West London, Stepping Stones Nursery has achieved yet another Outstanding from Ofsted. The nursery school was graded as Outstanding across all categories from the inspection, which took place in November 2019.

Stepping Stones Nursery takes children from two years of age with most children staying on in one of our two pre-school classes. We are situated in a converted townhouse in London W12 housing four classrooms, a playroom and a Music/French room. The nursery draws in families from the surrounding areas of Chiswick, Ravenscourt Park and Acton as well as Askew Village and Shepherds Bush. We strive to give a happy, positive and value-led experience which we believe will have a significant impact on a child's success in the future.
Through the emphasis that we place on social and emotional development and through our belief that all children are individuals and should therefore be valued for what they have to offer, we aim to instil in our children a love for learning and self-confidence. This should then help to prepare them for their transition to primary school, where we believe that they should continue to thrive and succeed.
Bryony Dodd the owner and headteacher at Stepping Stones Nursery, which has large number of parents and children attending from the Acton area explained, ” This result could not have been achieved without the full support and input from all of our parents and I personally want to thank each and every one of them. I also want to thank the dedicated and talented staff team who in the words of the Ofsted Inspector said “teaching across all areas is excellent” and “the quality of interactions between adults and children is exceptional”. This outcome should also be considered in the context that Stepping Stones has not only retained its outstanding Ofsted position since it was last inspected in 2012 but is also the only nursery to have achieved Outstanding since the new stricter criteria was introduced in September 2019 in the whole of west London. As you can imagine, I am thrilled as the headteacher on everyone's behalf at the nursery, that Stepping Stones has received this wonderful endorsement from Ofsted”.
