Food, wine, music and a perfect vantage point on the Thames
The 2006 Oxford and Cambridge Boatrace from Putney to Mortlake will be held on Sunday 2nd April starting at 4.35pm with the reserves, Isis and Goldie, racing 30 minutes earlier.
Situated on the banks of the Thames, The Old Ship will be reserving the restaurant areas for private bookings for the Boatrace.
With unrivalled views on the Hammersmith leg of the race, The Old Ship provides the perfect vantage point to watch the big event as well as the traditional flotilla of boats which follow the race. Tables can be reserved in the Orangery and also in the upstairs Quarter Deck Bar and Mess Room the Balcony tables are available for all private guests to use.
The restaurant will open at 1pm for wine tasting with representatives from Bibendum wines to give information and assistance for the wines available to taste.
A three course dinner will be served from 1.30pm. Restaurant patrons also have the advantage of access to all areas, including the annual party in the Marquee and bars with DJ's playing from 11am through to 10.30pm
