Hammond's Butchers & Deli is pleased to announce the appointment of new Head Butcher, Phill Rickett.

Phill's had an extensive and impressive career with over thirty years of experience in the butchery business including Managing the Meat Department at Harvey Nichols and Sales Manager, Meat and Poultry at Harrods.
With his industry-wide reputation as one of the most skilled and experienced of butchers, Phill will head up our team which includes Pip Chaney (pictured with Phill). Phill brings with him a real commitment to use only the highest quality independent suppliers from the very best UK farms and crofts. His expertise and enthusiasm in sharing good practice has led Phill to run a series of masterclasses and events where members of the public can try out their own butchery skills and learn about the importance of cuts and great provenance. But more of that once Phill has settled into his new role!

Phill's appointment allows our hard working and long standing Senior Butcher, Ken Hammond, to take a step back and enjoy a well earned rest. However, for all his loyal customers of many years standing Ken will continue to work in the shop on Friday's.
