Next Open Morning on Tuesday 12th March

The Falcons Pre-Preparatory School for Boys is the sole boys-only school in Chiswick and the surrounding area educating boys from the ages of 3-7.  Full wrap-around care is on offer from 7.45am – 6pm with Holiday Clubs run by the school staff during the major holidays.  A school bus run service is also available every morning.   On average, around half of their Year 2 leavers sit the 7+ and move on to leading London day schools whilst the remainder of the cohort progress seamlessly to the Falcons Prep in Richmond.   

As a single-sex school, they are able to offer a bespoke curriculum that is tailored to suit the learning styles of boys and is full of high interest content ranging from space travel, dinosaurs and football, ensuring that the teachers are able to engage with the boys every second of every day that they are at school, developing them into curious, confident and successful learners.  Plenty of movement is also involved as part of their learning with a dedicated PE teacher providing 2 lessons per week in addition to Games lessons every Friday.

Liz McLaughlin joined as the new Head in September 2019 and has brought with her a wealth of experience in educating young minds.  She has had an interest from an early age in child development and the way in which a child's early life experiences can either enhance or impede future development.  She expands by saying that ‘current and past research support the facts that a quality Early Years education has a significant impact on a child in terms of their achievement later in life.  If you have spent time with a young child, you will have noticed that during the early years of a child's life, their brain is, quite literally, a sponge. Their thirst for knowledge and their passion and energy for life are boundless. As an educator, I love working with boys during this formative window and playing a part in setting them up as people with a lifelong passion for learning and an interest in the world around them.'

The school will be holding their next Open Morning on Tuesday 12th March at 9:00am.  The school will be ‘in action' and provide parents with an opportunity to observe lessons taking place, meet some of the boys, chat with the staff and some current parents and view all the fantastic facilities on offer .  All are welcome – please register via the website www.falconsboys.co.uk or email admissions@falconsboys.co.uk.
