Now stocking a range of own label products

Gaby Saliba, owner of Cavalleros had noticed how male customers were taking more interest in looking good. He says: “In the almost 40 years that I've been in business, I've never seen such a strong interest in men's grooming.

“It's not just about hair cuts and shaving, they now want the ‘wow' factor. I've been amazed by how much time men are willing to spend. Also, women are buying sessions as a treat for their partners.”

But with so many different products on the market, from waxes and gels to beard washes and oils, the challenge was which to choose.

“I was keen to have consistency and availability, so we now have a line of products under the Cavalleros brand so that we can have reliability of stock,” Gaby explains. Products include a sea salt spray for fine hair and a special boost powder for adding volume.

Providing the ‘wow' factor is master barber Raf. His hair cut and beard trim session is one-and-a-quarter hours of pampering that involves a flame treatment for ear hairs, nose wax and eyebrow trim, plus a face, arm and shoulder massage.

“I want to be in that chair myself, but I'm too busy cutting hair,” Gaby laughs.
