Chiswick-based Care Concern Homecare Celebrate Outstanding CQC Rating For The Second Time

With a tea party with their clients and staff

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) announced at the end of June that it has awarded an overall Outstanding rating to Care Concern Homecare for the second time, putting it in the top three per cent of homecare providers in England.

The CQC described Care Concern Homecare as being exceptionally responsive and well led; passionate about providing an outstanding service to people to enable them to live meaningful lives. It reported that care staff held strong person-centred values and delivered exceptional care to people.

Clients and their families said that they were involved in developing their own care plans which reflected their needs and preferences and that they felt safe and they received excellent care.

Care Concern Homecare was also praised for implementing digital technology since their previous inspection. Care staff record their notes securely using the PASSsystem app on their mobile phones, allowing staff, clients and families to keep up to date on a daily basis.

Care Concern Homecare celebrated their achievement with a tea party at The Larder Café in The Barley Mow Centre on Wednesday the 24th of July with their clients and staff.

Clare Drewell, Care Concern Homecare's Owner and Director, said:

“We are so delighted to have retained our Overall Outstanding rating. I am incredibly proud of my whole team and the work they do every day with our clients.

“It's wonderful to have this recognition for the standard of service that we provide. It is reassuring for our clients and any prospective clients that we are delivering care that meets and exceeds the requirements of CQC.

“It's been lovely to get together today with our clients and staff to celebrate our achievement. Our clients' paths do not normally cross so it was nice that they got to meet each other.

“It is our aim to deliver a service that supports the people of Chiswick and Ealing to maintain their independence and that offers rewarding job opportunities for the local community.

“Being an independent company means that we can uphold our values and make our own decisions about how to best serve our clients. We support our clients to live their lives according to their own choices and preferences, with dignity, privacy and respect. Our clients are at the centre of the service we provide, and their voices are heard and listened to.

“Our staff are fully trained in all aspects of care to work independently with confidence and initiative. There is always a manager available at the end of the phone to support them and they are often observed and accompanied in the workplace. We are all proud to work for an Outstanding company.
