Hammersmith Property Sales - August 2011
Summer sees continued high prices in the local area
The latest information from the Land Registry is showing that Hammersmith property prices are seeing continuing high prices during the Summer.
41 properties have been reported as being sold so far in Hammersmith W6 during August at an average price of £627,717.
There have been five houses sold for over £1,000,000 during the period including one for £2,875,000 on Ravenscourt Road.
London was the only region in England and Wales to experience an increase in its average property value over the last 12 months according to the Land Registry. The average price rose by 2.1% to £348,686.
The national House Price Index shows an annual price decrease of 2.6% which takes the average property value in England and Wales to £162,347.
The most up-to-date figures available show that during June 2011, the number of completed house sales in England and Wales decreased by 13% to 54,776 from 62,714 in June 2010. The number of properties sold in England and Wales for over £1 million decreased by 28 per cent between June 2010 and June 2011, from 644 to 465.
