Four year old boy left with multiple injuries following collision
Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a fail to stop road traffic collision involving a four year old boy.
Police were called around 16.30 on the 3rd July to reports of a dark red coloured saloon style vehicle having been in collision with a child on Bishops Park Road junction with Fulham Palace Road.
The driver of the car failed to stop despite protests from nearby witnesses.
The four year old boy was taken to St Georges Hospital in Tooting suffering from multiple broken bones, cuts and bruises. He was later discharged and is now recovering at home.
PS Paul Harwood the officer in charge of the investigation said "It is very fortunate that we are not dealing with a fatal accident, but the whole incident has left a young child with serious injuries following a very traumatic experience.
"A number of witnesses have already come forward and are helping us with our enquiries, however we would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision that hasn't yet contacted police. It is possible they may have further information that could greatly assist this investigation.
"We would also like to hear from anyone who knows of a car matching the description we have given that has acquired any damage recently.
"Finally we would appeal to the driver of this car to make himself know to police."
