Man Arrested in Connection With Parsons Green Killing


18-year-old victim stabbed to death on Ackmar Road

A 23-year-old man has been arrested by detectives investigating the killing of a teenager.

The police arrested him on suspicion of murder at a west London hospital after he had been admitted with injuries. He remains in hospital but his condition is not believed to be life threatening.

The 18-year-old died of his wounds after being stabbed in Parsons Green on Thursday evening (11 February).

Police were called to a report of a fight involving a group of males on Ackmar Road at 6.42pm.

They attended the scene along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and an air ambulance. Despite the efforts of the paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene at 7.28pm. His next of kin have been informed.

A second man, aged 20, was taken to hospital with stab injuries but he has since been discharged. He was with third man who was uninjured

Parsons Green Station was closed after the incident and a crime scene was put in place with a number of the roads in the area sealed off.

A murder investigation has been launched by detectives in the Specialist Crime Command.

A Section 60 was put in place to run from 8.15pm on the day of the killing until 6am covering postcodes SW3, SW6, SW10.
