Yes... Pigeon farm is Open To All.

There are undoubtedly many pigeons like Michael & Emma who will prefer Pigeon Farm to this website.This place is a bit rough and tumble.  And nobody here has got anything interesting to say.  Besides which, we're all a bit thick in the brain dept.  Even worse.. Shhh.. not everyone on here actually lives in Chiswick.Whereas everyone on Pigeon Farm is very clever, extremely interesting, and perfectly well mannered.  Pigeon Farm birds are polite and terribly nice to one another.Actually, there is a reason for this.  They all know one another.  They are the nucleus of the Forum Drinks crowd.  Not many.  A clique of about thirty regulars and a few hangers-on.Pigeon Farm represents the successful merger of their real lives in Chiswick - into a 24/7 internet Forum existence.  The coming together - perhaps the weird mass marriage - of a few pitiably dull, worryingly obsessive and often lonely lives..One day soon, cameras will be installed.  Toad will blow a kiss to Ding Dong before switching off his bedroom light.  Big Bertha will ask 100 people to 'excuse' her whilst she nips into her loo to do her private pigeon business.Maybe this is all a natural extension of the fashion for Reality Television.Perhaps this is what some nitwits have turned into..  Neither real people nor unreal people.  But pigeons.. living their life in the hinterland of cyber space...Big Brother meets Britain Has Talent meets I'm a Celebrity meets Toad Farm.Go Michael. And Emma.Hopefully it'll feel just like coming home...

Well now.. your “actually” Viv is your own “actually” and you are surely entitled to it.  Only please don't try and spin what you remember “actually” as the complete and final “actual” truth of the matter - “actually”.Not very nice either.  After all this time...  Actually...Anyway..We did “actually” warn those “terrific” pigeons of yours that the computer guys were “actually” only in it for the money.  But the daft humourless twits wouldn't believe us.  They were too busy making up their Forum rules and regulations..And (believe it or not) there's another large crowd who “actually” saw it all as the control freaks and pigeon busybodies being taken down from the tree-tops by the very naughty anarchists...Folk took sides!For goodness sake.. get over it.  Move on..

Actually it was thoroughly unpleasant and many terrific members left this forum because of Bitchkerrmob.  The other forum shut down because one of the partners wanted to make money out of it and that went down badly with the members.

Hi Jim..I think Colin somehow got himself banned and I never got to meet the guy.  Actually he was very bright.  I ran a very tricky quiz on here with poetry links and twists and turns making it almost google-proof.  He won it hands down against quite tough competition.Robin Taylor - ah lovely Robin.  He was so many people on here I lost count.  But he actually came to one of the annual MitchKabob dinner/dance functions in the packed out Le Tortoise with a marquee right across Devonshire Road.He's a lovely guy.  Beautifully spoken, gentle and very articulate.  Alas he's not been well for ages...

Yup.. it really was the Forum Civil War.For those who weren't there – a small group of forum posters got together and started an opposition forum.  Seriously hoping to usurp neighbourhoodnet and take over.    A forum with rules and regulations – just like the pigs organised on Animal Farm.As it turned out the W4 pigeons never even got to stand on two legs.  The naughty Mitchkabob team infiltrated their club and created havoc.  They ended up rowing with each other and the whole thing fizzled out.  Great fun though..Then - ten years later - I read malignant posts from the likes of Stewart Jones and John Seymour and I can but wonder – why the effing eff  did we bother?

Never was so much owed by so many to so few..Pigeon Farm was our Battle of Britain ..If it wasn’t for MitchkaBob and their faithful Dorises fighting the Forum Wars on the beaches of Chiswick you lot of snivelling naggers wouldn’t have the freedoms that you enjoy now.. Lest We Forget !

Massively deep and profound apologies to Emma..Truth is, I've been out round Bob's pad, where a fine bottle of red was lovingly drained..which is my only and very sad excuse for being late..  We were gossiping about pigeons..Emma.  I am truly sorry to have wrongly tied you up into my silly story about Toad Farm.It was careless of me.  And you were right to admonish me.You were also generous to say you didn't mind that much.  Proving you have a well oiled sense of humour.  A quality not often found on the internet.Can I also thank Sara for not caring about my lack of detail.That was a nice gesture and much appreciated.Thanks all round..

Reasonably intelligent is fair enough....all I aspire to really."Very clever" is sort of derogatory in some circles don't you think - and in my case untrue.I wonder what you have to be and do to be so defined though: get all 195 countries on the sporkle quiz....have read all 100 of the BBC best books list...know Animal Farm off by heart. I'm a complete failure on all counts sadly!
