Who is the best Vet in Chiswick - relocation enquiry

Hello, I am moving to the area with 2 dogs and was hoping to have some advice on a really good vet. My dogs are rescues and have various health conditions, so I'm really hoping to find the best vet for them in the local area.I can see there are a few to choose from but I would really appreciate some guidance and recommendations.Thanks

Creature Comforts: Excellent friendly vets and I've tried them all.  Ample free parking for two hours parking in Sainsbury's car park right next door.  If you join their club you don't have to pay for each consultation.

My animals are registered between Wolfe Vets and Richmond Vets on Kew Road.  A little further to travel to Richmond but worth it imho, just a quick tube ride with the dogs.

Another vote for Wolfe, as a dog owner.  Excellent for experience, care, service and the staff at all levels. Not cheap, but no vet is!!

I’m also with Wolfe vets and have been happy with them. Though I was a bit taken aback at being quoted £845.73 to groom my long-haired cat under mild sedation! A tad excessive in my opinion.

Remember vets are also a business, always think before any proceduresor get second opinion.  Most give honest opinions in my experience only had one a bit iffy.

I would agree that choosing a vet-owned practice will mean that the staff are not at the behest of venture capital. Wolfe Vets has the best qualified staff but it is not always easy to see the same vet so that it something to consider if you value consistency of approach. They have an arrangement for parking with an adjacent business.Creature Comforts are partly vet-owned and are very good at co-operative care and handling, They also have a reception with lots of space to minimise stress but parking may be trickier.In your position, I would also recommend researching the expertise of specific vets to see if it matches your dogs' requirements given their existing clinical conditions.

We moved from Alcombe Surgery in n Ealing to Wolfe Vets in Chiswick High Rd when IVC(one of the equity based corporates took over Alcombe). Wolfe had just opened  and 6/7 years on we’re still with them. James Bennett principal and owner, works between the Chiswick and Fulham branches with the Head vet at  Chiswick being Alice Webb Wilson.We moved simply because we found that having a private equity firm controlling the purse strings, led to more procedures and more charges.Veterinary care is not cheap whether privately or equity owned but I do believe Wolfe are good at advising on costs and looking at alternatives when the patient  has different needs, elderly, nervous, hard to pill etc.Good luck!
