Serious assault on Acton Green Common

It can be quite scary out there at the moment. A friend and I were threatened this morning by a man who was cycling on his bike inside Turnham Green Station, and a neighbour of mine with a small child was threatened by a gang of young men outside a coffee shop on Chiswick High Road. It just feels like things might be getting worse.  Hopefully not.

There is an update on this on the front page. The victim was an adult and has suffered potentially life-changing injuries - amazing that he managed to get to Chiswick Park tube. Still no arrests.

Though from watching too much TV, I see the police have a database of trainer shoe flashes and hoody logos that they use to track down anonymous assailants as long as they have some CCTV to refer to.

Sports loving young men can be up for high jinks perhaps, but never likely to inflict serious assault on fellow citizens.This serious crime witnessed by passes-by was most probably committed by a gang of thugs out for easy pickings, and I hope the police catch up with them very soon.

the fact that all the alleged assailants were wearing the same colour tracksuits and shared their ethnicity suggests that they may be from a team that uses the space?

I've walked past that spot four times since it happened unaware. Ominously the use of the word 'male' rather than man in the article may mean it is a boy rather than a man whose life has been ruined.
