Sir Keir in deep trouble

We learn today that Lord Mandelson actually failed his American security test undertaken by the Foreign office.When the PM told the House that his newly appointed Ambassador to the USA had undergone all vetting procedures, the implication being he was unaware of Mandelson's improprieties.Some may find it hard to believe the Foreign office would fail to inform the PM of Mandelson's failings immediately they found out.Come Monday Sir Keir will try to prove his innocence, and if it is proved he lied or deceived the House resignation is the only option open to him, even for the distinguished son of a Tool Maker.

He strongly opposed US involvement in the Vietnam War, criticized the "special relationship" as illusory, and believed that the US had actively sought to dismantle the British Empire. This did not make Powell anti-American or pro-American. He was simply being logical and clear sighted in his view of American  politicians and their policies.Farage on the other hand is a completely different bucket of barracuda!

NATO is for peace, not war though.  We had no option with Ukraine and the threat from Putin.  Also must remember Conservatives had Covid and a War to deal with.

Everything achieved in the Middle East was done without Starmer. He has played no effective role whatsoever. Putting his Bestie Mandelson in the USA achieved nothing good either!!!

You're comparing Starmer with that lying toad Johnson.We will have to see how the current situation pans out but I don't see how any one can deny that Starmer has done well in the current middle east crisis particularly dealing with Trump a narcissistic individual who has insulted our Country and it's armed forces.God knows what Bad Enoch and Farage would have got us into.

Unfortunately there is no one with leadership ability in Labour but it is a real mess. Now Labour re getting back some of the vile medicine they threw at previous government. They re totally inexperienced and clearly don’t know how to lead anything let alone the country

What a waste of Taxpayers money. Deer Keir being thrown out after spending over £30k of our money buying new furniture for his Downing Street apartment. As one former Labour MP said this morning. Starmer has concentrated on delegating his way out of his responsibilities during his first year in office but now he is openly abdicating his responsibilities. He is just a coward and has no leadership qualities.
