Chiswick should, of course, have a post office (even one with lengthy queues, cases of glass animals and, on occasion, pretty unhelpful staff), and I hope that a reopening is on the "Horizon" for those who use and rely on it. However, another part of me resents increasing the profits of an organisation that not only shows utter contempt for its own employees, but also now its loyal customer base, over many decades, in our area. Perhaps Chiswick needs its own Mr Bates to fight on our behalf?! It's worth also remembering that many of us - myself included - agreed and cheered 20 years ago, when Sheila Hancock got Chiswick Main Post Office put into Room 101 on the BBC television series (https://www.chiswickw4.com/default.asp?section=info&page=conceleb22.htm)
