Paper shredder, loan or rentable?

Was wondering if anyone local to GPark/Riverside area has a paper shredder I can borrow for a few hours? Having a clearout and have a mass of paperwork that needs shredding, but while I'm de-stuffocating, lax to buy a shedder that I wouldn't normally need (not to mention constantly trip over in my wee one-bed flat!)

We were always told not to shred it if you can help it as it causes problems with recycling and they'd prefer whole sheets...  So consequently shred or tear up and bin only a part of sheets of paper when we do have them - not so much nowadays!I haven't looked to see what the latest info is from the Councils recently.I haven't tried the wetting paper method but with the hot weather it would be easier to dry that! IMO What you often think are the quick fixes in life are somehow problematic.

You could investigate door to door shredding companies like Shred-It or local companies who’ll come and do this.

You could put the papers in the sink and run warm water over them, then leave to dry out before putting in the recycling.

Both Ealing and Hammersmith have a Library of Things where you can rent these sorts of things and many more that you would only use occasionally for just a small fee.
