Indeed it is very good of you to go to so much trouble. A simple thing that most of us used to do is to put contact details on things we value. I put a friends phone number on my keys and had them returned twice saving hundreds in locksmiths fees. In built up areas dropped keys, or almost anything, are found very quickly and owner reunited sometimes before they know they've lost them if contact details are there.Make it easier for the finder, who is nearly always a good Samaritan.
