Kew Midsummer Fete on tomorrow but Dog Show cancelled

Kew Midsummer Fete has had to cancel it's Dog Show tomorrow due to the extreme heat, after taking advice from show sponsor, Richmond Vets it was agreed that sadly it will too hot for dogs to parade.Good news is that the Fete itself will be going ahead tomorrow 11-6pm on Kew Green (pond side) with the other great attractions - funfair, 100 stalls, live music, food court, tea tent, beer tent, lucky dip, tug of war and charity raffle. All proceeds go to local charities.

The Hanwell Carnival is not being held this year,hopefully next year.

Whilst any event like this has to be welcomed,it is shame in my opinion that the Hanwell Carnival and the Brentford Canal Festival are also being held tomorrow.It's a shame that the organosers of all thes couldn't put their heads together beforehand.Sadly it looks like this may well be the last year that the Brentford Festival will be held,at least for the foreseeable future.
