Has anyone had any communication from this useless bunch about how much our bills are rising in the new financial year?

Yes.My water bill for a 2bed flat has gone up by 49%!up from £44  per mth over 8 months to £66 per mth over 8 mths.

Join 'Boycott Thames Water'. It's easy. If enough of us do it, this corrupt, criminal heist will be brought down, bankrupted, and nationalised free of the debts it took on to pay those fraudulent dividends. First step - cancel the standing order and move to pay late basis. Then pay 50% on the basis they fail to deliver the service on sewage removal. All teh details of how to do this are on the website. Don't just moan about it - take consumer action.

There's still no sign of my bill going up. They overcharged me for ages because the meter wasn't transmitting data properly (see what I mean about them being useless) so I'm hoping I have a surplus to use up!

Horsetail or mare's tail is terribly difficult to get rid of but is an ancient plant which is fascinating in the way that it propagates itself.  I just wouldn't introduce it anywhere where it isn't!

If you have a rain butt in your garden for watering your plants here s a tip -you can remove the aluminium from the collected rainwater by filling a stocking with the herb horsetail, tie a knot in it and float it in the rainbutt. Your plants will thank you :)

- the cost of it is probably the least aspect to worry about, our water contains many nasties not even including the bill for it. https://www.chiswickw4.com/default.asp?section=info&page=conmisconntectedsewers001.htmAnother story about misconnections.  Why and how can so many people not care or not know about our old and combined sewage and rainwater drainage systems?This is why it is so important to try and slow the flow of the heavy downpours that we are now getting from hitting that one pipe by collecting rainwater in waterbutts when and where we can for use on gardens.  There are university projects that have done this to one side of the road so that it can be compared with the opposite side of the road very successfully. There are masses of different types and sizes water butts available for sale and some may be on freecycle or similar.  Friends of the Earth or other organisations sometimes help and advise groups on how to do this.

From my attempts to deal with them I think they need a better IT system to report leaks to and be updated on water situation when there are problems and water cuts.The privatisation of water (it's a monopoly) has been a failed experiment.

Open the file and page down to page 2, click on box 12 Household charges schedule, then click on the box Metered water and wastewater charges (assuming you're metered). Then you have to work out what applies to you - seriously....they make it as difficult as possible to find the charges.If someone can tell me how to post an image I can post my image of the highlighted relevant domestic charges.

Water in this country is actually considerably cheaper than other developed countries. My issue is that any rise must be used for investment in the network to stop the sewage leakages in our rivers as this is appalling behaviour. Plus a limit on dividends to shareholders whomever they are.

I logged into my online account this morning and all there was was the next payment due this weekend, same as it's been for some time. Not a word about what happens after that and no other information from them.

I received an email in February with a link to changes to charges on their website.I am not sure if cutting and pasting the link would work but if you go their website under 'Account and Billing' you can see the new charges

I spoke with a chap from them on Friday to give im a meter reaading before the price rises kick in.He reckoned it will cost me £16 per month more,which works out at about a 40% rise.This is  so that they can carry on polluting rivers,tolerating leaks and giving our money to investors,native and foriegn.The last sentence is mine,not what he said.

Nope, but I've had an e-mail telling me to log in to our account to get their latest bill.....problem is that they don't let businesses have an online account. I have pointed this out to them on previous occasions but they still send out their misleading e-mails. Bunch of amateurs.
