There's no equivalence between the unprovoked trolling and deliberate disinformation of an antisemitic russophile, and the circumstances which led Stuart to post something excessively salty (although I missed the offending post - it was taken down pretty quickly, probably at the request of the person to whose provocation he was responding). I'm sure if it were now, he'd never have been banned. The moderators, such as they are, don't seem to care about anything these days. Perhaps they even welcome intemperate comments, on the basis that they maintain interest in an otherwise fading site.

OK,just for the recordI bumped into Stuart today. He said to me that life beyond the forum is bliss. The idea of apologising to Neighbourhood.Net to come back is zero. (grovel is the word)Anyway,im sure he has much more on his plate these days. At a ripe old age😯 hes doing his own fitness regime these days in the way of doing that school run again and doing his own swinging lessons over the park.

Lucky anyone who gets a word back from the moderator, they dont reply to me. I went to their Chiswick  office twice but staff say that they havent been seen there in months and that there were many unanswered voicemails waiting for them !

I doubt we'll see Stuart back. Reinstatement is only possible if you grovel to the (soi-disant) moderators, and anyone who feels badly-treated is not going to grovel.

If your banned you have to askto be let back. Usually in a knowledge of the forum rules andmake an apology. Some places have moderators whomoderate because they like it andhave free time without any pay.Bit like an adult prefect. I think the powers that be needto appoint a moderator. My vote is for Janice. Cmon guys and girls,big up forJanice. I've emailed them withfloating the idea.

Stuart Kerr and I had a few run-ins back in the day, but having just read his article, for once we are in total agreement. However, he is wrong in saying that J D Vance is Secretary of State - he is Vice-President and would take over if the next assassin aiming at Dumbass Donald has a better aim than the last one. The current Secretary of State (the US equivalent of our Foreign Secretary) is Marco Rubio. Assuming the world survives the next four years of Trump and Vance, one only hopes the American people will have had enough by then and elect someone with some idea of how to behave on the world stage. I fear that Dumbass Donald may yet try and reverse the 22nd Amendment to the US Constitution limiting the number of Presidential terms, in the same way that "Ras" Putin has manipulated the post-Soviet Russian constitution.Unless, of course, the whole bust-up is a put-up job to make Vladolf Putler think he is winning before slapping him down hard. We can only hope.....

Stuart was banned for a ridiculous reason a long time ago. The ban was completely over the top yet the pro-Russian conspiracy theorists remain on this forum....  I miss the days when the main controversies that were debated on this forum were a simple bike lane that's for sure.

Thanks for this,Robert.Very interesting pieces.I believe Stuart was ousted by the forum for something I doubt anyone with anything else going on in their life can remember.I used to have a few minor ding dongs with him now and again,no hard feelings as far as I am concerned.His posts were usually erudite and interesting.I liked them,but they do say that opposites attract.

That was a good article I'm sure he won't mind me saying this but Stuart got banned for something he said ages ago. Let's put it this way: Anna with her putin propoganda is still around, so if he returned, he would soon be banned again.
