Kemi Badenoch's lunch

From the Spectator: "lunch is for wimps. I eat it every day and have servants bring it to me. Sandwiches are woke and for breakfast. Sometimes I eat meat. Grrrr".

How on earth can you claim that food grown in hot houses etc tastes better than food grown in Portugal, Spain, Italy etc. in natural sunlight. I think you mentioned before that you don’t like travelling abroad so you have limited knowledge on foreign foods.

I'm sure you are mistaken if you think we can rely on others for our food security, if they had a shortage of food I can assure you nothing would be coming our way.

Don’t worry. The countryside won’t be destroyed. The farmers worth £3 million in assets can well afford the measly 20% inheritance tax and they will pay it. It’s just ridiculous scare tactics they are  playing at the moment because they are motivated by greed. If one or two of them decide to sell their lucrative farms and move to cities to work in other vocations, so be it. It doesn’t matter. There are plenty of farmers across Europe who would be more than happy to supply us. Not least the lovely Rep of Ireland. I wonder how many of those smoke spewing tractors they drove to Westminster are actually ULEZ compliant. Hopefully Mayor Kahn made some money out of the greedy farmers.

“They are having re-think on Farmers, having to prove the running of the farm“Who says they are having a rethink?  From what I have read deer Keir is adamant that the inheritors of these valuable farms (£3million) will have to pay inheritance tax. Most people weren’t aware that they haven’t had to pay inheritance tax for decades. The farmers have been getting away with murder!

They are having re-think on Farmers, having to prove the running of the farm and not sitting on land for gain, or words to that effect I heard.  Ifanything will come of it I don't know.

I occassionally send out for a sandwich when I am working through which is pretty much every day. Either that or I nip to Waitrose and get my own sandwich. Sometimes I get sushi.Does the sandwich element of the equation make me working class or is this cancelled out by buying the sandwich in Waitrose? What about the sushi?Is it working class to eat sushi from Waitrose while working through lunch?

I love Kemi. A woman after my own heart. Says it like it is and doesn’t give a toss what the snowflakes think. Honest and forthright. How refreshing!  A born leader. And a pleasure to listen to her speak compared the nasal, sermon like, flip flopping whines of Stammer. And we won’t even mention Reeves or Rayner. Ugh!

As I said, resolutely working class, Sadly, that shop on Strutton Ground is long gone. They used to do the best chicken Caesar salad in a box to take out and there was a little Portugese place that did great Bacalhau and Pasteis de Nata.

Yes, our PA used to pick me up a steak and onion bap from a place on Strutton Ground when I worked through, which was more often than not. Definitely and resolutely working class.

A new take on 'throw them red meat', not sure the Tufton set would approve... Mind you it sounds better than affiliations with lettuce.
