You can hear the most beautiful Scottish, Welsh, Irish or ‘Northern’ accents which are pleasing to the ear (good accents) and then you hear the disgusting, inarticulate, lack of diction accents (bad accents)  from the same areas.  Eg  Angela Rayner and Rachel Reeves have spectacularly bad accents. The BBC is employing people with horrendous accents in their quest to embrace diversity and their mistaken belief that they will attract younger viewers. They won’t and people are leaving the BBC in their thousands according to reports of Licence Fee revenue decline. The BBC has lost the plot!

Drivel is what Rayner speaks, made more laughable by the ghastly accent. Inarticulate slurring is how Paul McNamarra (Ch4 News) comes across. No diction and doesn’t finish words. Ch4’s Andy Davis can’t talk without whistling through his teeth. I think he just has incredibly bad fitting false teeth which makes it difficult to take him seriously. The BBC has taken to employing people with terrible estuary accents.
