Kew Bridge Car Fire

Update from TFLA205 Chiswick High Road (South Circular) Southbound closed, long delays due to car fire from M4 J1 (Chiswick Roundabout) to Kew Bridge. Congestion to Turnham Green in Chiswick, and North Circular queues back through Ealing. Northbound queues over the bridge beyond Kew Retail Park, and back along Brentford High Street. Outside Kew Bridge Station. The car still needs to be recovered, and the surface checked for damage.

The little silver car that caught fire seems to be quite old and not electric or hybrid. Thoughts are with the poor driver as it must have been a scary experience.

No idea about the vehicle that caught fire.Amazingly though, the vehicle Paul posted a picture of (which I presume may have been involved somehow) is a hybrid, so has both a High Voltage battery and an ICE. Amazing that it didn’t catch fire spontaneously 🙂
