Servicing a watch - any local recommendations please

I've recently moved my Dad from a care home in Wales up to London - mainly so we can see each other regularly.His watch us running slow, so I took it in to Timpsons for a new battery - only to discover it doesn't run on batteries, and needs a service. Timpsons send watches away for servicing. It takes six weeks and costs £150. Does anyone have any recommendations for someone who can do this locally please?

Good advice Chris.Readers should type "Soni" into theForum's Search Box and be prepared for a long list of criticisms!My suggestion is the one-man operation located on the Goldhawk Road ...near the Station ...between Sainsburys and the entrance to Shepherd's Bush Market.

Do not, under any circumstance, take it to Platinum Prestige / Soni Jewellery, 292 Chiswick High Road. Awful place prone to damaging the things they are meant to be repairing.
