General Medical Council fraud exposed

The GMC have been exposed -They are meant to be an independent regulator - but have been caught out with large financial investments in Astrazeneca and Merck...Oh dear corruption really is  in endemic in the Uk I fear.

Even The Telegraph/ mainstream media are now admitting that if  GP s dare raise concern over patient treatment they are intimidated back into place by the regulator/The GMC.Actually solicitor Phil Hyland exposed this practice a while back on twitter.    x.com  @pjhlawGood old Phil !

Between 2006-19    9 out of 10 commissioners at The American Food And Drug Administration went on to work for the big pharmaceutical companies that they had been in charge of regulating !

That's five in a row. Can you not give it a rest or perhaps order your thoughts more comprehensively before posting?As for what do I think of physician associates - as long as people aren't practising outside their level of competence then I think there is a place for them.

Another day another scandal at our dear old General Medical Council -The GMC have been exposed  holding financial investments in Novo Nordisk; a company who were suspended for 2 yrs from the ABPI for bribing health professionals with inducement to prescribe..The ABPI are The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry.

The GMC has received an income of 8.1 million to regulate physician associates over the last 3 years- what a nice little earner for the GMC !Dr Mike - its a massive scandal, everyone on a physician associates course got a merit or a distinction. No one failed. The GMC knew that and were silent.Dr Bansal - did no one at the GMC think the exam results were odd ?Anaesthetists United are taking the GMC to court over their regulation of physician associates. The legal dept of The GMC must be rather busy these days...

The GMC have now been exposed for holding substantial investments in controversial infant formula manufacturer Nestle as well as investments in fast food and soft drinks companies such as Mcdonalds, Coca cola etc etc and also for hiding these investments from their website. A British doctor has likened the GMC s financial arrangements as to 'investing in tobacco companies'.

The GMC  pay NO tax. They take £500 a yr off doctors, pay no tax on it and use it to give themselves £250 k salaries and private healthcare..
