Free Electricity for 5 Years - Is this for real?

There are currently only four 'vehicle to grid' cars on the UK market. Even then, you can't  take Out more than you put in so they really are only good for transient demand in powering your house from your car

All designs of these improve with time.  I bet many people have not even noticed the newer photovoltaics that look like tiles in Chiswick.  After a while they become less obvious as they and less of a novelty and you get used to seeing them.  With a battery for storage and an EV for further storage your home electricity use will start to fall.

If you install solar panels it can take up to 15 years to recover your costs and ‘break even’. Quite ridiculous - Ed Miliband should be offering massive incentives but he won’t put his money where his mouth is. All talk and no action.

Solar panels are not the most attractive things are they I'm sure morewould have had them if they looked more like roof tiling or even windows.

Obviously all newly built houses should have these eco facilities built in to start with. But if they’re being pressed to build in numbers, I suspect the developers’ lobby will fight off any such suggestions and even push for further short cuts.
