Praise for Gunnersbury Station staff.

My daughter and I arrived by tube at Gunnersbury station yesterday afternoon, with a baby in a  buggy. Just as we were about to navigate going up the stairs, a member of staff appeared behind us and offered to help my daughter up the stairs by taking the front of the buggy. Big shout out to Alan for being so kind and helpful!

It needs an extra platform for a start, which should be possible as part of the proposed new development, but I suspect the parties involved will argue round in circles about it until it never happens.

That's good to hear Margot.The staff at Gunnersbury Station must be so embarrassed to see their customers strugging up and down that nasty staircase so often.(I have to go down backwards to survive!)In fact they could well consider having staff just on staircase duties ... even to help with luggage.It's a pity that the Tornado that struck the platforms in the early 1950s didn't damage the staircase too (just the roofing and the Wellesley Road alleyway wall was) otherwise there would have been an opportunity to build a better access to the platforms.That was would have been marvellous.
