District Line tube closures

While I see that work on the Richmond branch of the District Line is necessary, dare one hope that, on the weekend of 14 and 15 September, when both that and the Ealing Broadway branch are shut down, the Piccadilly line might stop at Turnham Green (even just those to and from Rayner's Lane... which was once proposed as a permanent fixture)? It would make life SO much easier if they did!

There is also disruption on the Piccadilly line that weekend with just Heathrow services running. TfL has laid on replacement buses serving Turnham Green which is a pretty good indication that they have no intention of stopping any trains there.With the closure by the Westway and the return of schools, the expectation would be that there will be severe congestion and the replacement buses won't be able to make much progress.It is always worth asking for services to stop and TfL has done this in the past but the current policy is not to serve Turnham Green as the inadequacies of the signalling would require too much of a delay. Best thing would be to do is try not to travel that day and if you are going to Fulham vs West Ham, walk.

Hope in hell probably. The provision of replacement bus services is poor during closures too, especially to Ealing.
