Finally, someone on this forum who knows that "men" who may appear to be outwardly male thanks to perhaps previous exogenous testosterone input, can in fact have female internal organs or indeed both male/female structures and a higher level of endogenous estrogen. Intersex, or more properly DSD, and transgender raise similar issues about unfair competition as a result of differences in physique, and both require dignity and respect for DSD and trans people. Your comments on DSD and puberty are not necessarily correct, so far as I can ascertain. DSD may affect the gonadal function, and puberty may be absent, incomplete or atypical. I don't want to discuss the details of the Imane Khelif case, other than to say that she was considered a girl at birth, and it is more than a little cruel to deny her gender and insist on using male pronouns to identify her. We should all consider ourselves lucky that we don't have a DSD, and haven't had to face the prying, the gossip and the discrimination she has suffered.

Imane Khelif has XY chromosomes, and that is why he previously failed a "gender" test - actually a chromosomal SEX test which the IOC has wrongly decided to abandon as the test of sex. Khelif has a Disorder of Sexual Development called 46XY 5alphaA2RD which causes male genitalia to be undescended and retained in the body, where it produces testosterone as in normal male children who become men. He went through male puberty.The term "intersex" is not precise. The term DSD describes the developmental abnormality.

Totally agree transgender man playing against 14 girls is plain wrong, whilst most of us agree that people should be able to lives their lives as they wish when it comes to sport is should not be allowed. We should be encouraging 14 year old to play against their own physical sex. Boys and girls are born with different physical attributes and this should not be allowed in sport. Most sporting organisations recognise this, boy/men have a big advantage physically over girls/women.

I disagree. Of course it's absurd that LTA rules permit a transgender female who has gone through male puberty to play against 14-year old girls. But the OP's post is not so much a criticism of unfair competition as an expression of her obsessive rejection of the concept of transgender recognition. Whilst recognising the practical difficulties (protected spaces for women, avoidance of power imbalances in sport, etc), we need to be a little more respectful to transgender sensitivities.
