Queens Head new management

Just been for roast at the Queen’s Head as it’s reopened under new management this week. There’s plenty for them still to do, but I have to say, the food was outstanding!! For somewhere that only opened 4 days ago, it was a really really pleasant surprise.It would be brilliant if this place was a success, so please visit and get behind the new team.

We were there for Sunday lunch last weekend. Fabulous roast, great beef and friendly service. We wish them well.

If Stonegate can't settle / or circumnavigate this, it's a poor look for them and a real shame for the new Landlords, based on the feedback within this thread.Personally, it lost attraction for me once the Hole in the Wall and a it's proper beer garden closed.

We popped in last Friday for an early evening drink. Will return soon to try out the menu. New landlords are very welcoming.

We have also visited, for a drink only but will be back very soon for a roast.  Really friendly couple now running it, and it is clearly a struggle to make ends meet in these early days, so a shout out from me too, give it a try.

My understanding is that the web site domain and social media was set up and owned by the former management who, for understandable reasons, have not handed it over.The pub owner is Stonegate Pubs and they have brought in the new managers at a discounted rent of around £50000 for the first year so perhaps they are running it on a low budget to see if they can make a go of it. As far as I am aware, it started serving customers last week.

I was interested to read your post, Lucy, regarding the Queen's Head, but according to both Google and its own website, the pub  is still closed! I was thinking about booking for this Sunday, but can't seem to do that online. Not suggesting the pub hasn't reopened, but a little strange if they are looking to be successful and build customers. Was it a 'soft opening', or similar?
