Alan Gouk, artist, obituary

https://www.theguardian.com/education/article/2024/aug/18/alan-gouk-obituaryI was in Edinburgh in the early 60’s I used to know and be a fan of Alan Gouk and several other artists around that time including Richard DiMarco, Mark Boyle and family and Jim Haines but we lost touch though I sensed they all had a great future.  I was intrigued to read in his obituary that his had a studio in Chiswick during the eighties.  I wonder if there was anybody who recalls this and knew him during this period?  (or indeed any of the others I mention). I would love to hear from you.

Thanks, Jim and Felicity, interesting stuff.  Linden House now seems to be mostly an upmarket wedding venue for the unfeasibly rich - about as far removed from an artists’ community as could be!  I wonder when and how it changed?

Further searches reveal that Alan Gouk (RIP) was also linked to a Linden Hall in Deal, Kent.He was born in 1939 apparently ...just like me!

He was based for a time at Linden House, which strictly speaking is in Hammersmith. There was a community of artist based there during the eighties.
